I do not regret becoming a singer.

[ wanting to protect others is something she understands. the strong should protect the weak is a conviction that robin holds even if she knows that's not how the world operates. she can see how much geto cares, even if it's only for a select few, in these few moments.

[ this casual mention of murder and revenge. she tucks it away. at least she's good at maintaining her expression when she wants to. ]

Do you hold regret over what happened?

[turbulency]

[ that's shounen (not sports... unless?) ]

That she was killed? Of course.

[sonorant]

[ people can be dead in sports (spiritually) ]

.... That you couldn't protect her, that she couldn't live the life she wanted.

[turbulency]

[ He's quiet a moment, contemplative. ]

Of course I do. She was just a kid, and she shouldn't have had to grow up knowing that she'd be nothing but a sacrifice.

And she shouldn't have died when she decided that's not the life she wanted. [ ... ] But that's how it is. We have to make sacrifices in the interest of the greater good.

[sonorant]

I don't agree with that, but I know the world isn't fair. There is suffering that will spawn simply because of how society is, but that's not something I would settle for.

[ she didn't get shot in the throat to simply accept that. ]

Are you trying to make peace with those sacrifices?

[turbulency]

I'm not sure. I really don't know what I'm going to do next.

[ Sighs, rubbing his neck. ]

It's why I've been considering making use of that wish.

[sonorant]

[ lives are a heavy weight. so are deaths. ]

What would you wish for?

[turbulency]

To eliminate cursed energy. It'd rob us of our powers, but it would get rid of cursed spirits too.

Would you use it?

[sonorant]

Does cursed energy provide any benefits? Is it something that's always existed in your world?

[ she would like more information before making this decision, however hypothetical. ]

[turbulency]

[ Tilts head. ]

Not that I'm aware of. Cursed spirits are only common in Japan, anyway... Or so we're told.
