[ hi I'm so terrible at setting up a scene for memshare, but listen. they live in the same place, so presumably geto will just waltz into him at some point - this time, he'll get hit with a memory:
CW: EYE STUFF FOR REALLY REAL. if you want something else let me know.
gale is standing there too and honestly making much the same sort of expression, one hand pressed to a temple, as if he's just been reminded of a phantom pain. ]
... A mindflayer tadpole. If you've never heard of them.
Yes. Or at least, one must assume, though at this juncture I have no way to confirm that is still the case. At is remains, it is in a sort of stasis ... normally I can feel it, and it contains some latent psionic powers.
... In theory, Ceremorphosis is supposed to take place in more or less 6 to 7 days. Day one: fever and memory loss. Day two: graying skin and hallucinations. Day three: blood beginning to leak from all orifices and hair loss. Day four: excruciating pain as the host's body begins to rearrange - the organs resettling and bones elongating. Day five: the host's personality has all but disappeared, reduced to a babbling husk. Day six: the face and jaw splits to accomodate the tentacles and sharp teeth meant for consumption of minds. Day seven: a brand new Mindflayer is born.
I have had the tadpole for months now. So far, all my orifices remain unbloodied.
In another sense, not at all. But it is ... being dealt with, in a way. I personally have no intention of turning into a Mindflayer. It seems terribly unpleasant.
