[ welcome to the mortuary aerith! geto is in the basement, in his normal clothes now, examining some velvet blankets...

mumbling to himself, ] These are probably the best.

[the way i opened this and immediately lost it. anyway, she really would rather not be here but in the interest of covering all ground and making sure she looks everywhere she can, she ventures into the mortuary after everyone's retrieved their items. she's dressed in her usual clothes, and as she descends the stairs of the basement she hears mumbling.

i've realized she probably cannot see him since it's apparently pitch dark in the basement, but that's probably fine. she's likely on the stairs and half-hidden in the shadows herself.]

Find something interesting? [it occurs to her that she might be talking to a ghost or something, but it's not like it'd be the first time so this is fine.]

[turbulency]

[ as funny as it would be for geto to shout in alarm and jump, he probably heard her footsteps because he's Alert As Hell in this creepy place, so when she speaks he just turns in the direction of her voice.

he walks over, blanket in hand, so that she might have an easier time seeing him. ]

Just some blankets. [ which is kind of lame but, ] It's hard to get comfortable around here, so every little thing helps.

Are you exploring?

[that's valid. she does appreciate that he steps a little further into the light though so she can see who she's talking to. it's a little bit of a lame find, but given where they are any sort of resources can't be too bad.]

Blankets are better than some things. The church only had a few cloths. [nobody's really in a position to be picky though.] I didn't have a chance to come here yesterday, so I wanted to see for myself. Can't pass up and opportunity, right? Just in case there's anything that may help us.

[we are outside of the mortuary because aerith is nosy and has been browsing the mailboxes to see which names are where. whether geto is coming or going, he will find her standing there reading the plaque, but she does smile upon seeing him.]

Morning! [is it morning. i don't know, it is now.] Looks like you might need that light after all?

[i hope geto and gojo live in the basement.]

[ she's so cheerful he CANNOT relate

but yeah they're in the basement i decided ]

Yeah. [ smiles a little, holding back a sigh ] At least it's nice and dark when we want to sleep. Where did you end up?

[basement dwellers...]

Small blessings. [hehe.] Cloud and I are at the church, but Yuffie's at that haunted house. [which...she feels a way about that, but you know.] I guess it is a little smaller, so only a few of us can fit there.

[turbulency]

Oh. Are you worried about her?

[welcome to the island. aerith is here and she's standing at the edge of the field of sheep, staring with wide eyes.]

They look so cute...[but she immediately realizes she's not alone and just waves.] Geto, look! [COME PET SHEEP we have cows at home but this is BETTER.]

[ AERITH... SHE'S SO CUTE hits the ground

he looks out at the sheep ]

This is way better than the village.

Right? [she is! so excited! very funny the entirety of the ff7 party is from varying rural areas and aerith has been in midgar for so long that all of this is new for her.] It was starting to get a little weird with just the crows, fish, rats and leeches. But there's a whole ranch now.

[she pauses a little to look around.]

The whole island's actually kind of nice after everything.

[turbulency]

It's not bad. Have you been into any of the houses? They're actually pretty nice.

[ idly walks over to the sheep ]

w1 thursday

[after all of that...she does give him some space to rest for a bit before she wanders off to find him. if he's not resting in an animal crossing house she's going to be so annoyed, but she does venture to check on him in the last place she remembers him being.

wherever and whenever she finds him though, she just stops in front of him with her hands behind her back, rocking on her heels nervously.]

...pretty active day, huh? [lightly, just gauging where he's at mentally.]

[turbulency]

[ He is in a villager house! Changed into some clean clothes, kind of zoning out. ]

... Seems like it. [ frowns ] Nothing else weird happened here?

[residentflorist]

Nope. Nothing weirder than usual. [she means people just doing dumb shit. but since he seems to be zoning she will approach and settle down in front of him. also checking the throat again to make sure that's really still closed.] It feels silly to ask if you're okay when it sounds like none of you were expecting this at all, but...how're you feeling?

[emotionally. she is pretty sure he still feels like he was hit by a bus.]

[turbulency]

[ It's affection week so he will shuffle a little closer to her... company is nice. ]

I'll be okay. [ ... ] I'm just worried. We have enough threats to worry about already.

w2 monday

[casually walks up to geto while we're vibin' in the gas station, and she has what looks like an open bag of trail mix.]

It's not the same as the ranch, but it's not so bad. Wanna try?

[unfortunately he might not get that far before he is witness to a lot. a lot that lasts until 7:51:08, enough to get a glimpse at the monster bursting through the wall.]

[turbulency]

[ Okay, wow. That is a lot. Geto is kind of just o_o? for a moment about it before he glances at Aerith. ]

... So that guy is trying to hit your planet with a meteor?

[residentflorist]

[me as geto tbh. anyway she watches all of this and by the time the memory finishes she just looks. kind of annoyed, actually! that is a good word for it, and she claps her hands together.]

Do you remember what I said before about how there was someone who was a bigger threat than the people currently in charge of a lot of the planet? [waving to the empty space.] Meet Sephiroth.

w6 wednesday

[at some point when the party winds down a little...she's still in the vineyard! sort of just glancing around at their set-up. she's still somewhat transparent on-sight but it doesn't look like she's going anywhere for a bit.

actually if the omegaverse sign is still up, she's staring at it.]

I feel like I've missed a lot since I've been gone. [hello. she's obviously teasing but also what have you guys been doing.]

[ Hei and Yaywon really just roped me into this while I was working.

Geto still looks mildly confused by all of this, but is pleased to see her again, standing next to the sparkly omegaverse sign with his hands tucked in his pockets.

He sighs. ]

You can call me Suguru, by the way. I never answered you.

[residentflorist]

[things really do just happen around you...

anyway it's fine. she's really just like "at least you guys are doing something" even if she doesn't get why, but she's quick to pick up the subject change.]

Don't worry about it. Things have been busy for all of us. But in that case, it's good to see you again, Suguru. Even if it's only for a little while.

w7 saturday

[man...she's still in scawwy after that nightmare of a scenario, and her emotional feedback really is just "what the fuck", actually. but that does not change the fact she grins when she sees geto and gestures to the blue light.]

What do you say? Up for an adventure?

[turbulency]

[ He grins back, ] I am pretty curious.

[ They can go in! Though, even if he's curious, he keeps his attention on her at first. ]

Are you doing okay?

[residentflorist]

[inside the pillar!! it spits them out in the center of the town near the fountain, and she's giving him a moment to acquaint himself and pick a direction he'd like to walk. it's why he also gets to ask her that and she gives a slow but firm nod.]

Believe it or not, I think I feel better about most things than I have in a while. [which is impressive since she tends to be more optimistic than most people.] There're still some things left to be seen and see if they work out, but...I'm satisfied with what we did. I should be asking you that though, considering. You guys had a hard job, too.
