I spoke to him on Thursday, he said that while we were separated, he returned to his home but his owner betrayed and ran him out, and everyone from his city hated him. I think it broke his trust in people, so he clung to those of us that were with him.

I hope he was able to reconcile with some of the friends he made here. It'd suck to have your last moments be filled with betrayal and loneliness.
